Good morning Honeys #HappyFriday,
How is your morning going?
I want to start by saying that it’s completely normal to feel self-doubt when you’re trying to make changes in your life. It’s normal to have people doubt your abilities. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t pursue changes. What it means is that you must fight your nature to create a life of dreams.
"The struggle is guaranteed, but the success isn’t."
I’ve given you all the tools that you will need to make it a fair fight. By teaching you how to get started on your new journey. Let’s recap.
How to handle self-doubt
As I said, it’s completely normal to experience self-doubt in your abilities when trying new things. Never feel like your dreams are not worth pursuing because you’re feeling doubtful. Doubt was embedded in human genetics to protect us from not getting eaten by lions. I’m not going to sugar coat things, failure hurts. But every time you try something new, and you fail, there is always something new learned.
Babies don’t understand self-doubt, so it's not something you're born with. When learning to walk, and they fall down at least 50 times. Until they figure out that they need to hold on to something to help them to stay upright.
The same is true when you're trying to achieve your goals. You will fail until you find the right to get started. But if you take notes of your failures and what you've learned from the experience, you won't make the same mistake twice.
How to deal with people doubting you
I love it when people tell me that they have no one supporting their dreams. Why would they encourage your goals? Why would somebody who hasn't pursued his aspirations, boost yours? You will either have to walk this road alone or bring a limited number of people with you. Stop expecting the support and encouragement of other people.
“Life is short, and it’s up to you to make it sweet.” – Sadie Delany
When I was dreaming of buying my first home, everyone laughed at me, the bank manager, my partner at the time, and my family members. Every time that I would mention my goal to them, it was either be dismissed or be called stupid. Do you think I let that stopped me?
This is your dream, and it will be up to you to bring it to life. But if you need a supporter, I’m always here to help. I was a cheerleader in high school, so I already have my pompoms at the ready.
TTYL and by the way…Have a great weekend you Dreamer you☺
